My work examines forgotten spaces where memories intertwine with the landscape. Drawing from childhood recollections, travels, history and Southern California, my paintings serve as a bridge between past and future, memory and possibility. This body of work explores stark and often overlooked settings where humans have left their mark on nature. My focus lies in the minute details—the grime, discarded objects, footprints, and impromptu drawings—that reveal a location's latent energy and purpose. At the heart of my artistic vision is my fascination with heat as a malleable force to be manipulated. In my ongoing studio journey, I am exploring the intricate dimensions of texture, rich color saturation, and digital manipulation to evoke a sense of mystery and bring back lost energy.
